## Glossary / Key Terms

* **LayerDrone Foundation:** An independent entity that stewards, maintains, and governs the LayerDrone Network and manages data storage/access
* **LayerDrone Protocol:** The set of rules, concepts, and code logic that determines how LayerDrone Network operates.&#x20;
* **LayerDrone Network:** A set of technical infrastructure, organizations, and open-source smart contracts that captures aerial imagery via drone around the world.
* **Spexigon:** A \~25-acre hexagon-shaped piece of land that represents a standard image capture zone within the LayerDrone Protocol.&#x20;
* **Mission:** The incentivized request for a pilot to capture images in a particular spexigon.
* **Token:** Token that provides core utility within the LayerDrone Network, including incentives for pilots, data purchases, staking for mission reservations, and participation in governance.
